Let Every Man Examine Himself

There are so many unnoticed and confusing exits, orchestrated by the devil, on the highway to heaven. Not many intentionally wants to exit, but many have unconsciously exited! The cry of Apostle Paul cannot be more appropriate: Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? (2 Cor. 13:5)Self examination is the key to finishing strong and well in this spiritual race and journey of life. Nobody knows you better than yourself: For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? . . . . (1 Cor. 2:11). You know your thoughts, influences and weaknesses. There is no hiding place from yourself, face yourself and make necessary amend. By all means, avoid self deception! It is the most dangerous thing that can ever happen to any man. Gehazi will not come clean before the Lord and was overtaken with self deception, he ended up a leper (2Kgs.5:1-27). Ananias and Sapphira allowed self deception to overcome them, there lives were prematurely terminated (Acts 5:1-10). But the prodigal son examined himself, confronted his situation and came up with a return plan (Lk.15:17-19). He assessed and compared his former and present estate to make necessary move. Why will you remain in your backslidden state? Beloved, be not deceived, God is not mocked. . . Gal.6:7a.Can a man hide from God? King David knew better Ps.139:7-12, for nothing can hide a man away from the presence of God. You may have to align with David as he cried “Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. (Ps. 26:2).Oh that you will hear God’s cry to you this day, consider your ways oh Child of God (Hag.1:5). Examine your ways and ascertain whether you are still in the faith, to ensure that Jesus is still in your heart, otherwise you will occupy the room of a reprobate: this shall not be your portion in Jesus name, Amen.Today, if you will hear his voice, examine yourself to know whether you are still in the faith or not. Behold the husbandman is coming for the fruit of the earth, be sure to be part of his harvest.
